Name: Prabh Preet Singh

Age:
23 years

Occupation:
Telecom Engineer

Thanks a lot for considering me for this honor.

I am currently working with NSN.  By giving me a job in a MNC, Waheguru has given me an opportunity to prove WRONG the mindset of today’s youth: “An Amritdhaari cannot be successful”, “If we take amrit how will we take out time for our job, our family etc. while doing simran, nitnem…” “How we can survive in corporate world keeping our Identity intact and keeping ourselves away from drink n smoke..”

Interest:In the crowdie and fast moving world of today, God’s great nature gives me peace. Green plants, vast and beautiful sky, free birds, scent of wet sand, rain …., watching His beautiful creation is my hobby.

What inspired you towards Sewa?
Ans.  Sometimes while doing simran, my ego shoots up. At that point of time, sewa saves me.

Who is your role model, and Why?
Ans. Everyone is my role model provided I can filter out the positives.

What other steps we can take to motivate youth towards Sikhi?
Ans. Seed of a motivated youth lie in his childhood. We can and in fact we should approach kids. This can be done by reaching out few schools. We can ask for 1 hour where we can show movie/play to kids to introduce them to Sikh history. After which some game/quiz can be organized similar to ARK with offer of prizes. In this way not only Sikh children but also the outer world will come to know about the Sikh History.

Many people have different experiences of how they came into Sikhi. Which way do you think is the best way to influence and encourage youth to learn more about their faith?

Ans. Media is a strong mean to reach a large no. of people. Movies pertaining to Sikh History like Bhai Taru Singh etc. can be dubbed in English, Hindi etc. so that we can communicate the truth to more people. Other than that we can telecast plays in a similar way in which Pakistani plays are telecast-ed.

Also, we see that most of the T.V shows have so called Sikhs… but trimmed beard and performing bad acts is taking away the Sikhi from our youth. We need to reverse the trend…

Please share your experiences while working with SikhiSidak.com
Ans. writing honestly: SikhiSidak is a great and powerful platform that can bring many changes in the society, but we should remember that power lies in working together and not in an individual. UNITED WE STAND AND DIVIDED WE FALL.  It is a humble request to all that let us not allow the dirty politics to enter and weaken this Divine Group. Let us all work with a single motive of ‘Reviving the Spirit of Sikhism’.

Thank you for taking the time to answer the above questions,
and we hope you will continue to carry the torch of Sikhi and inspire others alike.
