About YSL

Sikhs are famously known for one thing – their Enterprising Spirit.

Several times in the past, they have been uprooted, yet they become wealthy all over again! Be it the trauma of Partition in 1947 or the 1984 massacre or earlier uprooted by Amhed Shah Abdali etc.

Today times have changed. We find that the best of Sikh brains have settled in greener pastures – Canada, USA, Australia and other such places. Yet common amongst them is the spirit of Chardi-Kala, energy for Sewa and their connection with their roots. Wherever they are, they are slowly but surely surging ahead.

Sikh youth, left in India, number over 80 lakhs, face a problem of mediocrity. We pick up some job and seem to be largely content with that. Or we set up a small outfit and stay there the rest of our life. We do not strive hard to pull ourselves out of that.

The top lists of magazines or Economic Times, has no Gursikhs.  Why?

The reasons could be many, but we find that the solution can be summed up as below:

Vision Statement
Inspiring Excellence in Career and Life as a Gursikh

YSL has built an ecosystem where
(a) Our Youth can Network with other Gursikhs – In India and abroad.
(b) Our Youth can get inspired from the Gursikhs who have excelled in Business or Profession.
(c) Our Youth can strike a Balance between Sikhi Values and Life’s demands.

Benefits of being a member shows the list of several benefits that YSL expects to deliver.

Today, with the popularity of Internet, what could not be done earlier, can, now be done.

Each one of us is fully aware of the problems Gursikhs face today. Gurbani guides us not to criticize*, nor we want to spend time in criticizing the system, let us talk of solutions and how to move forward.

YSL was launched on 5th Jan 2010 (Prakash Diwas of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Jee) and with Kirpa of Akaal Purkh today YSL has 3200+ members all over India and abroad.
